I’ve run into an issue when using Squeezebox, I have a number of these on my website on different pages. When I am in edit mode in Rapidweaver classic, I see two different “versions” of the Squeezebox on different pages. On most pages, it looks like this:
Note that there should be an FAQ question 11) on this page, but it’s not visible. Strangely, It does show up online when it is published, but I can’t see it here, and therefore can’t modify it. Any idea why this is the case? What does the %20% indicate here [that is where 11) belongs]? FYI the website is HPVCancerResources.org, and these are the pages for Screening (which looks OK on my screen and Epidemiology (which doesn’t look right). Is this simply a viewing issue? Thanks for any help you can offer. Stewart
I’m not familiar with Squeezebox, but it looks like there might be an HTML error on the page causing the layout or display issues. Have you used any custom HTML in the page?
I’m also cc’ing @joeworkman, as he’s the developer of Squeezebox and might have seen this issue before!
Just to set the record straight, @joeworkman is absolutely free to post on this forum, just like anyone else. There are no restrictions in place preventing him from joining the discussion.
In fact, I tagged him into this thread specifically to give him the opportunity to contribute and help with the issue.
So the claim that he “can’t respond” here is simply false, and it’s disappointing to see that kind of misinformation being spread.
I don’t know what the situation is all about; I was just responding to what I was told FYI.
The issue I’m having is tied in with the open/close status of each of the Squeezebox elements, but in a way I don’t understand and can’t address (other than maybe starting over again from scratch). There must be other Squeezebox type products made by others. Can you name any other stacks that provide this “accordion” function? Thanks, Stewart
If you’re able to send me the project file (email dan@realmacsoftware.com), I’d be happy to take a look and see what might be going on. These issues are tricky to diagnose without seeing the project firsthand.
Also, if you’re ever exploring new tools, it’s worth taking a look at Elements, our next-generation website builder. It includes a built-in Accordion component (similar to Squeezebox) that’s modern, flexible, and much easier to work with.
Anyway, do let me know if I can help with the project.
