I recently bought a new iMac and when I transferred my files from my old computer and found out that my 3.2.1 version of Rapidweaver is not going to work. Any help on how to upgrade and get up and running is VERY much appreciated…thank you
Why not just hopp to the realmacsoftware.com site and get RW7?
When clicking the buy now button, you are also able to purchase a upgrade license for a cheaper price
Could be tricky without going from next compatible version to next (I think.) I would email RW support and ask their advice. It is hard enough going from v5 to v7 (bypassing 6) let alone going from v3 to v7.
Why should there be an upgrade path from 3 to 7?
All I know is that I was using version 5.3 and to migrate to six I had to download 5.4 which had an “export project for version 6” option. The project structure changed or something…
I think Greg(@1611mac) was talking about projects from 3 migrating to 7, not the software.
Yes. There is (afaik) no upgrade path between 3 and 7 for projects.
Yes… I was assuming the op had projects he wanted to keep and work with the newer version.
The money is not an issue. I just don’t want to have to learn a whole new version and have to rebuild my website. I basically just want to be able to add new content from time to time.
