'Open in new window' not working in Rapidweaver 8

I noticed the ‘Open in new window’ in the General Settings is not working in RW 8 where it did in RW 7. I have the box checked but the page doesn’t open in a new window. I even tried different themes (these are the ones that came with RW) and still a no go. Any ideas??

Did you try the opening in new window within RW’s project or in a published site? This feature works only after a site is published, if I’m not mistaken.

These are all on the published site and it only seems to effect RW 8. I went ahead and republished the site using RW 7 and the ‘Open in new window’ works again.
