Please test this FormSnap form for me. Thanks

Hi,
built a site (still testing) for a client with order through FormSnap, entries are saved in a database.
When I test I get a timeout all the time…

Can please test someone and give me feedback?

Thanks a lot in advance -!

(No real order will be submitted)

Above my paygrade… I am sorry. I am replying because I believe this is the wrong way to go about it. You should be using a ecomerce. Cartloom is one option.

How do people pay once they order?

I also find your form a bit overwhelming. If you had even buy it now buttons and accepted online payments things would be more straight forward. This site almost feels like a scam to me. I am not accusing you of anything, I am talking about the impression I get from what is presented.

Search this forum for shopping carts or go to the addons section at realmac.

I wish you all the best with finding something that works for you.

Thanks John,
this is Africa. Some things here are different.
Don’t want to build a webshop for several reasons.
There are real people behind it and they will be presented on the website once it is finished.
Did you try the form? - that was what I asked for - to exclude if it was fault of sometimes slow internet connection.

I got a timeout, too

Thank you Gerd,
so something is wrong.
Sent Mike from Yabdab a support ticket - let’s see what comes out.

Here is what I get.

99% of the time a timeout is due to incorrect SMTP settings.

Try the form with SMTP disabled.

Thank you all,
must be a problem with the My_SQL database. After disabling “save to SQL” all works fine now.
Switched to save to google docs. works.

(SMTP is up and doing the job)

Have to talk to the provider to settle the database…

Just one more note: I also use a CRUD (from Kuler solutions who stopped developping stacks so they are not supported but still working and very useful) inside Rapidweaver which could also not connect to the database - but it gave out a

Fatal error : Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function mb_internal_encoding() in /home/masksfor/public_html/database/files/stacks_in_11_page5_simplecrud.php:13 Stack trace: #0 /home/masksfor/public_html/database/index.php(130): require() #1 {main} thrown in /home/masksfor/public_html/database/files/stacks_in_11_page5_simplecrud.php on line 13

meaning there was a php extension on the server missing. The provider fixed that. the CRUD now is connected. Have still to try if formsnap 3 now would work with the database though.
