Not sure why, but all external links are being incorrectly published. I’ve looked all over and can’t seem to figure out why. They being published with the below format.

rather than what I put in the html is below
If a link is to an external site, it has to start with http:// in order for a visitors browser to know that the URL points to an external site.

I have tried that and then I end up with below when I hover or click the link. Weird thing is the source looks good. Not sure if my .htaccess file or hosting provider is doing something, but its really strange.

I think I narrowed down the issue. Problem seems to isolated to content within a stack only. For some reason the links are being pre-appended with the site url regardless what you put in the href. However, I don’t know how or if I can work around this issue.
