Why the big slowdown in getting previews in RW8? I am running the latest Mac OS on a Mac Pro with 16 gigs of memory and flash drive. RW7 is a lot faster. Previewing is such a big part of RW. RW8 is feeling like a downgrade to me.
By the way, since I proposed that offer to investigate differences in performance not one person has bothered to send anything.
Please, if you are seeing differences, measure them and send me your project before/after project files. I’ll be happy to look at them with developer performance monitoring tools to help you uncover the reasons – and fix any bugs we find in the process.
