SCA Impact on internet financial transactions

Received an email from Stripe regarding forthcoming SCA (Strong Customer Authentication) changes driven by the EU. Looks like these will be increasing the need for 2 factor authentication and definitely 3D Secure. As a result, Stripe have introduced new APIs.

Anyone know if these are likely to require new versions of RW stacks and plugins for e-commerce?

I don’t suspect that this will require any updates. The 2FA has to do with logging into your Stripe account. Its possible that if any of the adding use oauth, it may require an update. However, I don’t think that this is the case.

Thanks Jo - let’s hope so. Not till September anyway and I know Stripe have already done their bit.
