Simple Dropdown Menu without background etc

I am frustrated with this topic, I really need help. Can’t figure it out. Couldn’t even find a solid Stack what can do it.

I am using Foundation Theme.

I just need the secondary menu show on the bottom of the menu (when I hover over it or click it).

It is so simple, I don’t even know how else I can describe it. :wink: The problem is just to put it into action. I attach a picture.

Oh and it needs to work on mobile as well please.

The secondary menu will show up once you create actual subpages.

Hi Rob. The formation (picture text alignment) worked great. THANKS A LOT!

This one is still open. :frowning: I use Foundation Theme and when I create subpages and drag them under the main page nothing happens. I am sure you got a solution for me. :wink:

there are a couple of things to have a look at.

  1. Make sure the TopBar menu scope is set to Entire menu and not Top menu only.
  2. Make sure there is content on the page you are viewing. (you can always throw a 1 col stack on and give it a large margin setting just to test.) If there is nothing on the page, there is no room for the drop-downs to be displayed. - The page is only as tall as the content.ZZ054D50D3

When you say ‘nothing happens’ can you be more specific?

It should work in exactly the same way.

Are you using TopBar?

Hey guys. Sorry I just saw the messages now. I was already frustrated and thought you are all still sleeping. :wink:
But I simply didn’t get the notification.

I AM USING INLINE NAV.

TopBar - cannot do my design? Or am I mistaken? I attach the design of the navigation. I hope that helps so that I can fix it. I really need the navigation as simple and clean as I have it.

That’s the issue, Inline Nav will do top level -or- sub -or active sub, pick one.

What is it about your design that you think cant be done with TopBar?

I have problems with formatting it:

  • Can I use my typo Avenir Light which I use for the rest of the website? How do I select it?
  • How do I change the size of the typo
  • There are different gaps between the single words. How can I change it that it does it like on the other menu I used before?

Set the styles and sizes in the site styles stack.
Set the menu size jn top bar settings

How can I set it to Avenir?

Which settings to I use that it has the same measurements from link to link? Same gap in between like in the top one.

Ok, I figured that out. Thanks a lot. :slight_smile:

ONE OTHER LITTLE QUESTION:

  • I don’t want the main page SERVICES clickable. I am sure I can activate it so that with hover only the submenu comes out which is clickable.
  • Also, as you can see in the screenshot. It somehow needs a solid background. Where do I add that? I want a white solid background behind the entire sub-menu and when I hover over it just the regular GREY hover action.
  • Where can select that the active Menu is underlined?

Name the page like this:
<header>SERVICES<\header>
You may need to add css for the underline, I’m not at my computer now so I can’t look to see if that option is in the UI.

I named it like that, but it is still clickable. :frowning:

Actually I just realized, it removes the Page Name :wink: But I want the name SERVICES to show, but I dont want it to be clickable, so that people have to click on the sub-pages.
