Social cards not working correctly

I’ve been having issues with social tags not working correctly with AddThis sharing.

I’ve ticked ‘Generate Social Tags’ on the page, and added a description and an image, but when sharing the page, this info isn’t used.

For Twitter, it takes the title, but not the description, and no image appears.

For Facebook, it takes the title and the description, but shows the site logo, not the site banner, or the banner overriden on the page.

Has anyone made this work as it’s meant to, or is this something wrong with AddThis?

It seems (for twitter) that the site slogan is being used.
