When I opened my RapidWeaver today, my project had disappeared? Where did it go and how do I get it back?

The recent projects list is there for convenience and should NOT be counted on. You can clear it at any time. If you can’t remember where you saved the file, you can use finder’s search function to find it. If you don’t remember the name you gave the project, then you can use the finders advanced search function.
Select This Mac and select the + on the right side:

Select “file extension” (this maybe under other).
Type in
RW - for RW7 or
RW6 - for RW6:

This should give you a list of all RW projects on this Mac.

And if you don’t already… after you find your project file back it up to another disk or to cloud backup. Better yet, get backup software and do incremental backups. (Time Machine perhaps?)
