Check Update Error message

I’ve downloaded the new version, Rapidweaver8.1 and dragged it to the Application folder, but I get an update error when I try to check for updates that says I’m running it from a read-only volume like a disk image or optical drive. I’ve deleted it from my mac, reloaded it, moved it back to the application folder, and rebooted, but still get this error message.

Any clues?

There are a couple of people who have had a similar issue. Maybe these previous threads will help?

Sorry, I recall the issue, but I can’t remember how I solved it. Probably by reinstalling the update a couple of times and crossing my fingers. No longer an issue for me.
