MY problem involves accomodation provided by a non-profit organisation. As the applicants ticks YES for a powered site, I want to display the number of sites left so that they don’t over-book. Simple— for some.
I’m using 1LD’s Live Data. I think I can manage the Stacks side of it, but the spreadsheet formulae have got me stonkered. LAMBDA— whatever that is.
This must have been done thousands of times. I see it on eBay all the time. A link, or screen shot of a spreadsheet, showing the formulae would be very much appreciated and thanks in anticipation.

In Excel, and I assume in other spreadsheets too, LAMBDA is used to create your own function. So in essence, you’re expanding the set of functions that Excel comes with, by combining regular Excel functions into a singular function you can then call by name in formulas. This is quite an advanced use of Excel (a far more advanced usage than most people will ever use Excel for), and it’s completely understandable that you’re struggling with this.
Now I don’t use Live Data, so I have no idea what the documentation is telling you what you should use. But if you share this with us, perhaps we can help.
If all else fails, know that there re ready-built PHP scripts available for the exact purpose you’re describing. They might cost you a few bucks (think between 30 and 60 dollars depending on the vendor), but it will take away a lot of trial and error.
