Hi all. With the 9.2.1 version of RapidWeaver classic, it freezes every time I try to edit a page with a lot of image galleries on it
Any solutions?

Hi @schmeing,
It could be that it’s a bit too much what you’re asking of your machine.
Stacks are small programs. So each image stack that you put on the page is one too and not just a box with an image in it.
When you load up too many of them, it may cause problems.
Instead of using image stacks in the way you’ve done, you could use a gallery stack. This replaces all those individual stacks with one single stack that does the same thing (display a grid of images and enlarge them when you click on one). Way easier to maintain too!

Yeah, that’s what I tried to do, but what you see is the result. I can’t figure out how to put more than one image in the image gallery, and don’t see instructions. Do you know how?

Oh! I thought there was only one. I’m using the one called “Image Gallery” in Stacks library. I recall having to paid for this. Which do you recommend instead?

If you click once on that Image Gallery stack in the library, you can see who published it and which version it is:
(You may have to click the Details icon to make this box pop up)
Could you post that here (a screenshot is fine too)?
With that information, I can see if I (or others here) have experience with that stack.
I could offer you alternative image galleries, but let’s see if we can get the one you already have to work first.

Weaver’s Space (currently) has three gallery stacks in its product line up:
Image Gallery (Image Gallery Stack for RapidWeaver)
Photo (Photo Stack for RapidWeaver)
Photo Pro (Photo Pro Stack for RapidWeaver)
It’s also possible that you’re using the gallery stack that comes with TotalCMS (Total CMS for RapidWeaver) → the icon would be white and orange if that’s the case.
If you tell us which one you’re using, maybe someone can help you out.

I don’t have that stack myself, so I can’t help you out.
Maybe someone else here has Weaver’s Space’s Image Gallery stack - I’ll let them chime in.
You could ask support over at Weaver’s Space on their support page.
If all else fails, you could try switching to a different image gallery stack. That would mean redoing that bit of your site though.
