If I make a website can someone else change things?

I’ve just upgraded to 7 and have only ever done my own site and edited and made changes in RW app.

A friend wants a site making like mine using the Codex theme (I bought) but he wants to be able to change things or use a blog etc. but he doesn’t have RW.
He wanted me to make it in Wordpress, but I’ve no idea about that software.

Is this possible?

Thanks
Craig

First, WordPress is one way to go. But it doesn’t really integrate with RapidWeaver, so you’d have to start from scratch with Wordpress.

In the RW world there are several ways to have a CMS (content management system) that allows your client to edit stuff. Typically these solutions won’t allow them to edit the basics (e.g. the theme structure, page ordering, etc.) but they can edit content. Some of the solutions include:

  • Armadillo (great for blogs and also content on regular pages): this is what I use and I love it. More here: https://www.nimblehost.com/store/armadillo/
  • Total and Easy CMS by Joe Workman (I believe you need the “total” version for blogging)
  • Pulse CMS
