until now I worked with WordPress. But I need more control over the functionality of my sites.
Can anyone tell me in 2-3 words, where the limits of RapidWeaver are? Just a hint, if I can built complex sites?
I know the sky is the limit, but…

As you said the sky is the limit.
With the resources found in these links it has never been so easy to fly.
Probably the best way would be for you to tell us what you want to do and we can then tell you whether it can be achieved with RapidWeaver and how to achieve it. In the meantime:
