###3 operation modes added to the stack in version 1.0.1 available now:

  • On Demand: None of the animated GIF images are ever loaded until requested by the user clicking to play.
  • Preload: The GIF will be preloaded and cached once all other page content has finished loading, so now plays instantly when clicked.
  • Autoplay: The GIF will be preloaded and cached once all other page content has finished loading, and instantly start playing.

New demo reflects the changes : https://www.doobox.co.uk/stacks_store/demos/gifplayer.html

I know GIF is probably common enough, but it might be handy to add (or have an option to add) ‘Click to Play’ or something for the non-Autoplay modes.

This mark seems to be the only example of a way to denote that a GIF is a GIF around the web today. Kind of the the VHS without a Betamax competitor. I don’t really want to be the guy that invents Betamax

Ha, fair enough!

Does this stack work with stacks 2?

According to Doobox’s website, it only works with Stacks 3 or later.

Thanks. I just now saw that.
