Problem with uploaded RapidWeaver6 site

I’ve been using RapidWeaver for several years to create and manage my work website. I’ve recently created a new site in Rapidweaver6, it looks great in the programme. I’ve uploaded the site, which seems to work without a hitch, all the files are present on my hosting service, but when I point my browser at the site I just get a blank page. None of the other pages load either, sometimes I get an error page but mostly just a blank. I’m a bit desperate for help as my site is really important to my work so I’m really struggling without it at the moment. Any help gratefully received!

What does the error message say?

There has been a Forbidden 403 error but now I’m not getting that, just a completely blank page, although with the page title visible. My hosting support said it must be a problem with the source code of the theme or the website but I have no idea where to begin with that. The site is www.markbowden.net if you want to have a look

I think the issue is with your Google Analytics code. In the attached screenshot, you can see how the syntaxt highlighting suddenly stops after line 66.

Looks like you are missing a closing tag after line #70. I’d suggest you review your Google Analytics code and check it’s being entered correctly.

Hi Will,

Thanks so much for this. You were right, I fixed that and now all the website info seems to be there although in a plain text format rather than in the theme, but at least that’s something! Do you have any idea why the style and formatting might not have uploaded?

Thank you so much for your help!

All best,

FYI I’m getting this message in RapidWeaver:
Error: Could not copy /Users/markbowden/Library/Containers/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver6/Data/Library/Application Support/RapidWeaver/Stacks.rapidweaverplugin/Contents/Resources/cloud.php to /var/folders/r6/bmcdcmxs27j9x6xl_h9dtpcm0000gn/T/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver6/RapidWeaver/1266/document-0x7fb5468f17e0/RWDocumentPagePreview-13/index_files/cloud.php.

There’s lots of files missing, which is why your website is not displaying properly:

I’d suggest you carefully check your publishing settings and the website address in site setup is correct. Then try a full republish from the RapidWeaver file menu.

I’m not sure what the ‘could not copy’ error is. Restarting RapidWeaver sometimes fixes things like that.

Thanks Will, that’s really helpful. I’ll give it a go! Mark

It’s working - thank you SO much! They probably seemed like really small things to you but I was so stuck, you’ve really helped me out. Thanks again, all best Mark
