I have found that often, if I make a minor change to a text box, it will upload just a few files. If I make another change e.g. correct spelling, it will upload over 450 files.
Nothing else was changed other than maybe a word.
It is quite consistent with this.
I am running the latest version of RW 9.2.1 (21062) and Stacks 5.1.2
Hey Frank — I’ve noticed over the years that when forum questions don’t get answers after a couple of days, it often means there is not enough relevant detail in the question for folk to make a useful reply.
That said, I can only suggest at this point is to use the Publish Current Page option in the File menu.
First, though, it’s always a good move to go to the Mark All Pages & Resources as Changed option in the File menu and hold down the option key, which will reverse the Mark All Pages & Resources as Changed to Mark All Pages & Resources as Unchanged.
Once that’s done, simply select the page you’re working on and make the change. Then when you’re ready to publish, select Publish Current Page in the File menu.
Strangely, though, I’ve also found that writing out a precise and detailed question will often give me the answer I seek.
Thanks for your reply.
I have found that the second change will always trigger this effect.
The way I get around it is to save the project, exit RW and then reload the project. It does not do it when I do that.
Seems there is some flaw in either the Stacks or in RW itself (maybe both).
In any case, my work around works even though it is annoying.
