Work has started on RapidWeaver 6.3.2 - here’s what’s new as of build 15030, August 17th 2015.
New Feature
RapidWeaver now supports “Active” FTP uploads. Active FTP should only be enabled if your host requires it - if that means you, enable it via the Cog menu in the publishing view!
Enhancements
Photo Album plugin now correctly shows metadata in the relevant fields.
Corrects a behaviour in the Photo Album where photo metadata would appear to be editable.
Fixes a problem that incorrectly prevented you from using the “Preview Page in…” feature on PHP pages.
The “Preview Page in…” sheet now remembers your previous selection.
Fixes a problem that prevented the “Replace Page” feature appearing in some circumstances.
Fixes a problem where RapidWeaver could crash during preview.
Admin fixes behind the scenes to ensure RapidWeaver builds with future versions of Xcode.
Download & Bug Reporting
If you’re happy with the risks associated with using pre-release software, you can download the latest RapidWeaver 6.3.2 beta here. If you run into any regressions (i.e. things that used to work, but no longer do) please post here with some steps to recreate and we’ll get your report looked at!
Hi Mark: we’ve acknowledged your report, and it remains under investigation. We’re not able to reproduce the issue, and that means that it is something that takes a lower priority right now (because of the increased time required to investigate the cause - when we’re wrapping up a release, we prioritise bug reports which we can reproduce). If we have any news on this issue we’ll be noting it in release notes.
Could you clarify “correct naming of generated JPEGs”?
Hi Nik,
to reproduce the ICC bug simply connect to any of your mac a wide gamut display and set the ICC accordingly (not hard).
For Naming of Jpegs:
Generated Jpegs are named by PhotoAlbum with a generic: page1-1001-full.jpg etc
To have a correct SEO we must choose how filenames will be. (page1… it is not of any help in ranking)
Having Artist/Photographer/subject in Jpeg names helps Google. Best, ~m
