Yes, Adrian’s support is wonderful. I made a complete fool of myself recently when I asked him for help about something which was completely obvious and he was very understanding.
I’ll also add that one of my clients needed some customization for a festival. Upon registering, a person needed to select from a matrix of options such as For Profit or Non Profit organization / select from different sized booths / need electricity / need tables & chairs / need lunch delivered / etc. Based on their selections, the cost of registering varied (a lot!). And, upon registering, the person had to pay a non-refundable fee - then, if selected to participate in the festival, they would need to log back into Sitelok and pay the booth fees. The coding was WAY over my head. Adrian ( @vibralogix ) knocked it all out for an unbelievably low fee. He made me look like a genius.
I’ve always considered Sitelok as “all or nothing”. Meaning folks had access to a page with relevant login credentials or could not enter. And that’s all that I’ve needed.
Joe’s additional Sitelok stacks make it super easy to implement Visilok (a feature built into Sitelok). Just tested it out and it’s easy as pie. It means I can easily set things up so only members can see a page, but then a special sub-group might see more additiional content not visible to others. Lots of options for how this works. Really nice feature that I might start playing with in future sites.
Okay, this may not be relevant to others but sharing 2 screenshots from @joeworkman Visilok stack that is part of the Sitelok stack bundle. Really nicely designed.
Just add any content you want to make “special” in terms of visibility. The Display When? option has lots of … options! See below.
This may be old hat to several of you folks, but it’s new to me. I simply wasn’t looking for this functionality. But given how easy Joe’s stacks make it to implement this added feature I think I’ll be using Visilok in the future.
Yes, it does. Sitelok is a great product and you can configure the stacks to show content based on the user groups. I’ve also found that if you have questions about it, the manual is clear but the author of the software is extremely helpful with advice and very responsive.
