Upgrading to RW Classic 9.3

Here’s an easy one! I’m currently running RW Classic 9.2.1, and I’ve just seen Dan’s announcement that 9.3 is ready for use. So, how to I upgrade to 9.3? Do I simply replace the old RW application with the new one?

Thanks in advance, folks!

Dan, is there a glitch with the 9.3 installer? I download it OK and unzip the file but it will not start up. At the moment I am trying to install it on a Mac running 10.15.7.

Hi @RobMustard,

When you launch RapidWeaver Classic 9.2.1 it should prompt you to install the update. But yes, you can simply replace your old version if you manually downloaded it.

FYI: All versions of RapidWeaver Classic can be download form here, incase you need to rollback for whatever reason.

Hope that helps.

Hi @MikeSA, What error do you see when you try to launch the downloaded version of RapidWeaver Classic 9.3?

Evening Dan,

No specific error. The icon animates in the dock but nothing happens further. Or I double-click the icon in Applications, same result.

For now you can downgrade to 9.2.1 while we work out what the issue is. We’ll look into it here and do some more testing and push out another update as soon as we can.

Thank you for the links of older versions!
The new 9.3 goes in crash with my MacOs Big Sur 11.07.10
When open the App, it closes immediately.

We’ve just shipped a hotfix to bring back compatibility with macOS 10.14, 10.15, 11 on intel machines.

Check for updates, or download Classic 9.3.1 directly here.

Sorry for the oversight, but hopefully this will get everyone back up and running!
