In addition to what @instacks posted there’s a bunch of free video tutorials here:

And more here(these are mostly RW7 but still apply).

OK, thanks;

But I’ve found a Rapidweaver 7 user manual in PDF, and not found the same for version 8… Is there one ?

As far as I know Not yet. @dan?

If I remember right, the RW 7 manual did not come the day RW 7 launched, it came later. If they are going to do another manual, it might be coming at a later date.

We hope to update the documentation over time, to get started though, I would take a look at our Help Center as a lot of the RapidWeaver 7 documentation is still applicable.

We’re also going to be doing more free tutorials in the next few weeks and months, so keep an eye on this page: https://www.realmacsoftware.com/rapidweaver/tutorials/ (there’s already plenty of great videos for 8 on there).

Hope that helps.

I have a HUGE problem with RW8.0.1, and neither the Twitter account nor the support email are being answered.

Rapidweaver (8.0.1) keeps disabling “Show in navigation” in HTML pages.

If you check “Show in navigation” in an HTML page" and you save the project, close it, and open it up again, the previously marked option appears as disabled.

I have replied to your email. I have also confirmed this and have submitted the bug to the crew. Hopefully that will get fixed in the next update.

I have the same issue. When I first opened the project in RW8 and looked to preview a page, I saw that all but a few pages on my site were not visible in the navigation. I toggled “show in navigation” on a few pages to see them show up, but as noted, it is not permanent.

Sorry about the delay, that bug should be fixed in a release this week — we’re working flat-out, stay tuned!

Cheers
Dan

I found it to be annoying that when closing and reopening RW8 my pages list in the left sidebar is collapsed. I like it to stay open.

I noticed that too…

Hmm, that’s odd. That shouldn’t be happening. Can you show a quick video of this bug in action?

I am using RW since many years. This update is for sure the smoothest ever. Looks beautiful, runs stable. Well done!

I can’t remember another RW update which has gone so smoothly. In fact, I haven’t encountered a single problem. Congratulations.

I would like to upgrade to 8 but not sure whether i should. I see there is a free shopping cart but the free version only allows 10 products, £15.99 per month for 100 products hmm! I currently use Rapidcart, will this run n v8?

Yes, RapidCart will run in RapidWeaver 8 you’ll just need to make sure you have the latest version.

Hope that helps.

Thanks
Dan

Well thats good news, ive only just upgraded to pro although the shop cart you have with 8 looks great i am not in a position to pay out at the moment. Thanks for info Dan, will probably go ahead and upgrade now

Wohoo!
I jumped on board with RW8. What an easy transition it was, setup and importing addons all run smoothly.
